I AM HERE TO THRIVE
Beloved Ones,
I was in my early twenties when I decided I was going to be the kind of person I wanted to be with. In November I will be 81. My neighbor, Roy, took this picture of me for my new website. My son, Anthony, said I look like I am in my 60s. My friends tell me I never change. They say, "You look radiant, you are glowing." They want to know how to find the fountain of youth. Youthfulness, creativity, peace of mind, and Joy come from feeling confident and loving myself.
Overcoming my insecurities took a long time. I didn't think I was good enough to achieve my dreams. I wasn't brilliant enough, I wasn't healthy enough, I wasn't financially stable enough, I wasn't pretty enough. Emulating those people I wanted to be like changed everything. None of the things I thought were required for success are relevant. The only thing I have to do is Let Love Lead. Love created me and everything else. Love knows my heart's desires and how to accomplish them. My part is to quiet my conditioned mind and merge with my true self. I am here to thrive not to survive.
THRIVE: The Heart Radiates Infectious Vital Energy
I practiced controlling my thoughts to overcome my fears. I was particularly afraid of expressing myself. I didn't know how to speak intelligently about my opinions. I had judgments about other people's behavior that made me angry. The faults I saw in others reflected what I didn't want to see in myself. I learned that Love doesn't judge. I forgive my self-critical behavior and don't judge people. I accept myself, as I am, and others as they are. Now I am free to be what I want to be, to create, to thrive, not to simply survive.
SURVIVE: Suppressing Unlimited Resources Victimizes Individual's Vital Energy
My insecurities kept me in survival reality where appearances, comparisons, and fears predominate. Now I trust the unlimited resources of Love to provide, protect, and guide me. I begin and end every day with gratitude.
May you discover the fountain of youth is the love in your heart waiting to be expressed. May you create the life you want to live, realize your heart's desires and THRIVE. May you understand what it is costing you to merely SURVIVE. AMEN!
